Did modern experimental science emerge from the assurance that somebody is in charge of observable phenomena? Did the assumption of physical regularity in the universe and the linear concept of time pave the way for confidence in repeatable experimentation and the construction of models representing reality? Simply put, could science have emerged if Jesus never existed?
