Emmanuel Staff

church staff

Jonathan Fletcher (Vicar)

After university, Jonathan worked as a teacher before going into the Church of England ministry. He served in the churches in Cockfosters (Hertfordshire), Cambridge and at St Helen's Bishopsgate in the City, before joining Emmanuel in 1982. He has a wide-ranging Bible teaching and evangelistic ministry, both in this country and overseas. (Jonathan is the one looking surprised in the middle of the staff photo on the left!)

Jane Leggett

Jane worked as a ward sister at St Thomas' Hospital for eighteen years. She has been involved in leadership in several churches, majoring in small-group Bible study. Jane leads the women's work at Emmanuel.

Charlie Newcombe

Charlie grew up around Kingston in the south-west of London. After completing a degree in geology, Charlie went on to spend five years in Christian Youth Work before attending to theological college in Cambridge. His interests include cycling, playing the guitar, maps and rocks (of course).

Ben Shaw (Curate)

Ben and his wife Karen joined the Emmanuel team from St Andrews in Sydney, Australia. Ben is well known as a former member of the band "In the Silence" with John Dickson, and as the author of a number of Christian books.
